Rain forces postponement of area high school baseball and softball playoff games

The rain showers that moved into the metro-east Wednesday caused numerous postponements in the area high school sports playoff schedule.

Following is a list of postponements and rescheduled games:

PREP BASEBALL PLAYOFFS

Class 1A Lebanon Regional

- Odin vs. Patoka was postponed Wednesday and moved to 4:30 p.m. Thursday; Lebanon vs. Mulberry Grove semifinal moved to 4:30 p.m. Friday; regional championship at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Class 1A Marissa Regional

- Valmeyer vs, Marissa postponed Wednesday and moved to 4:30 p.m. Thursday; New Athens vs. Okawville moved to 4:30 p.m. Friday; regional championship at 11 a.m. Saturday.

Class 2A Dupo Regional

- Althoff vs. Dupo postponed Wednesday and moved to 4:30 p.m. Thursday; Wesclin vs. Wood River moved to 4:30 p.m. Friday; regional championship at 11 a.m. Saturday.

Class 2A Greenville Regional

- Mater Dei vs. Greenville postponed Wednesday and moved to 4:30 p.m. Thursday; Carlyle vs. Central moved to 4:30 p.m. Friday; regional championship at 11 a.m. Saturday.

Class 2A Red Bud Regional

- Nashville vs. Red Bud postponed Wednesday and moved to 4:30 p.m. Thursday; Gibault vs. Chester moved to 4:30 p.m. Friday; regional championship at 11 a.m. Saturday.

PREP SOFTBALL PLAYOFFS

Class 1A New Athens Regional

Marissa vs. Okawville postponed Wednesday and moved to 4:30 p.m. Thursday; winner plays New Athens in the regional championship at 11 a.m. Saturday.

Class 2A Nashville Regional

Chester vs. Red Bud postponed Wednesday and moved to 4:30 p.m. Thursday; winner plays Nashville in the regional championship at 11 a.m. Saturday.
