Kenneth E. “Kenny” Mindrup, 54, of Glendale, Ariz., died on Saturday, May 23, 2015 in Phoenix, Ariz.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. on Monday, June 15 at Salem United Church of Christ in Alhambra. A memorial service will immediately follow the visitation at the church, with the Rev. Jerry Amiri, Salem UCC senior pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery in Alhambra. Arrangements are being handled by Dauderman Mortuary in Alhambra.
He was born on Feb. 6, 1961 in Staunton to Carl R. “Bob” and Esther C. (Reckmann) Mindrup.
Mr. Mindrup grew up in Alhambra. He was a graduate of Highland High School, then joined the U.S. Navy. He worked most of his life as a machinist. He was employed many years with Basler Electric in Highland and most recently with Honeywell Corp. He moved to Arizona 10 years ago. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, outdoor activities and woodworking. He was a member of Salem United Church of Christ in Alhambra.

Survivors include his father, who lives in Alhambra; brothers, John C. (Merilee) Mindrup of Alhambra and Dale R. Mindrup of Alhambra; sisters, Dorothy J. Wohl of Phoenix, Ariz., Juanita L. Mindrup of Glendale, Ariz., and Ruth Ann (Fred) Monk of Manteno, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, who died on Dec. 4, 2002; a sister, Joyce M. Metzger, who died on March 7, 2000; and an infant brother, James E. Mindrup, who died in 1960.
