38 metro east wrestlers qualify for IHSA Individual State Tournament in Champaign

Illinois High School Association sectional wrestling tournaments were held Friday and Saturday with metro east area athletes competing at events in Vandalia, Mascoutah and Quincy.

A total of 38 area wrestlers placed in the top four in their respective weight classes to advance to the IHSA State Wrestling Tournament, Feb. 20-22 at State Farm Center in Champaign.

Following is a list of the area wrestlers and results of their final sectional matches.

At the Class 1A Vandalia Sectional
