To be clear, this poll is not scientific. In fact, we invite you to vote as many times as you want. It’s all for fun, BND readers. People also may submit the same athlete from week to week.

Here are the candidates:
- Alton High School: 21-7 overall mark. Went 7-2 in Southwestern Conference, good for third place. Won regional championship and reached sectional title game.
- Civic Memorial High School: 32-6 overall mark. Went 10-0 in Mississippi Valley Conference to claim title. Won regional, won sectional, won super-sectional and reached state tournament.
- Edwardsville High School: 29-5 overall mark. Went 10-0 in Southwestern Conference to claim title. Won regional, won sectional and reached super-sectional.
- Freeburg High School: 26-6 overall mark. Went 9-1 in Cahokia Conference to share title with Breese Central. Reached regional championship game.
- O’Fallon High School: 25-6 overall mark. Went 8-3 in Southwestern Conference, good for second place. Won regional championship and reached sectional competition.
- Waterloo High School: 25-7 overall mark. Went 6-4 in Mississippi Valley Conference, good for third place. Reached regional championship game.
- Triad High School: 21-10 overall mark. Went 7-3 in Mississippi Valley Conference, good for second place. Won regional championship and reached sectional competition.
