Poll results: Here’s the high school playoff game of the week in southwest Illinois

This week, the Belleville News-Democrat pivoted away from a Player of the Week poll — which has concluded for the fall — and asked readers to vote for the High School Playoff Game of the Week.

Here were the choices:

• Class 2A volleyball semifinals: Freeburg vs. Elmhurst IC Catholic at Redbird Arena
• Class 2A football quarterfinals: Althoff at Johnston City
• Class 5A football quarterfinals: Peoria High School at Mascoutah
• Class 6A football quarterfinals: Crete-Monee at East St. Louis

And the winner is ... Althoff at Johnston City, which secured 54% of the votes.

To be clear, this poll is not scientific. In fact, we invite you to vote as many times as you want. It’s all for fun, BND readers.
