Who’s ready to celebrate? Parade on tap for state champion East St. Louis Flyers

The East St. Louis Flyers are state champions for the 10th time in program history.

And the community plans to celebrate the team this week.

District 189 Superintendent Arthur Culver said — following the Flyers’ 57-7 win against Prairie Ridge in the IHSA Class 6A state championship game Saturday — a parade will take place in the coming days, most likely Wednesday. Once the BND secures specific parade information, we will relay it.
