Here is a quick snapshot of the outcomes.

Alton vs. East St. Louis

The Redbirds beat the Flyers 58-57 in a close matchup to improve to 6-0 and 2-0 in the Southwestern Conference, while East St. Louis droped to 6-5, 0-1.

Alyssa Lewis and Jarius Powers led Alton with 14 points apiece.

Look ahead: Both teams resume action at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, as Alton visits O’Fallon and East St. Louis hosts Collinsville at Mason Clark Middle School.

Collinsville vs Belleville West

On Tuesday, the Kahoks improved to 4-3 overall and 2-0 in the SWC with their 52-39 win against the Maroons. Belleville West dropoed to 0-6, 0-2.

Megan Janson led Collinsville with 13 points and Jenna Scheller added 12 points.

Look ahead: Collinsville plays East St. Louis and Belleville West hosts Webster Groves 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at Lindenwood-Belleville.

O’Fallon vs. Edwardsville

The Panthers improved to 7-1 and 2-0 in the Southwestern Conference with their 50-36 win against the Tigers. Edwardsville dropped to 2-5, 0-2.

Shannon Dowell led O’Fallon with 21 points in the big win.

Look ahead: O’Fallon visits Alton and Edwardsville plays against Belleville East at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8.
