O’Fallon, Belleville West post victories Tuesday. Here’s a recap of other big games

The metro-east boys basketball seasons continued with several games Tuesday night.

Here is a quick view of some of the outcomes.

O’Fallon 54, Belleville East 41

The Panthers downed the Lancers with 13-point victory at home.

Rini Harris led O’Fallon with 16 points. The Panthers are 12-4 overall and 7-0 in the Southwestern Conference. The Lancers are 13-2, 3-1.

Look ahead: O’Fallon faces East St. Louis and Belleville East hosts Belleville West — both at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6.

East St. Louis 68, Edwardsville 35

The Flyers coasted to a 33-point victory against the Tigers.

Macaleab Rich led East St. Louis with 16 points. The Flyers are 9-1 overall, 3-1 in the SWC. The Tigers are 9-7, 1-3.

Look ahead: East St. Louis faces O’Fallon and Edwardsville visits Collinsville — both at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6.

Collinsville 75, Cahokia 48

The Kahoks posted a 27-point victory against the Comanches.

Jake Wilkinson led Collinsville with 22 points. The Kahoks are 12-5 while the Commanches dropped to 2-12.

Look ahead: Both teams resume action at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, as Collinsville hosts Edwardsville and Cahokia entertains Marion.

Belleville West 67, Alton 35

The Maroons got a decisive 32-point victory against the Redbirds.

Myles Lidell led Belleville West with 13 points. The Maroons are 6-7, 1-3 in the SWC. The Redbirds are 2-12, 0-6.

Look ahead: Belleville West visits Belleville East and Alton visits Hazelwood East — both at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6.

Chaminade 72, Althoff 41

The Red Devils dominated the Crusaders with a 31-point victory.

Althoff fell to 6-11.

Breese Central 54, Centralia 32

The Cougars posted a 22-point victory against the Orphans.

Breese Central improved to 14-2 and Centralia dropped to 11-3.

Look ahead: Breese Central visits Wood River at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan 6.

Columbia 62, Highland 58

The Eagles won a tight game by four points against the Bulldogs.

Sam Donald led Columbia with 30 points. Cade Altadonna pace Highland with 20 points. Columbia is 14-2 overall while Highland fell to 10-6.

Look ahead: Columbia visits Freeburg and Highland visit Waterloo — both at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan 6.

Mater Dei 68, Civic Memorial 60

The Knights eased to an eight-point victory against the Eagles.

Mater Dei improved to 8-6 while Civic Memorial fell to 7-8.

Look ahead: Civic Memorial visits Mascoutah at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6. Mater Dei visits Belleville West at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan 7.

Freeburg 90, New Athens 35

The Midgets dominated the Yellow Jackets in a 55-point victory.

Lane Otten led Freeburg with 20 points. The Midgets improved to 10-5, while New Athens dropped to 9-6.

Look ahead: Both teams resume action at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, as Freeburg hosts Columbia and the Yellow Jackets entertain Marissa.
