The metro-east boys and girls basketball seasons continued with several key games Tuesday night.

Here is a quick view of some of the outcomes.

BOYS

Alton 70, Althoff 36

The Redbirds downed the Crusaders in a 34-point victory at the Chick-fil-A Belleville East Classic.

Alton improved to 4-15 overall while Althoff fell to 6-16.

Look ahead: Alton faces Belleville East at 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20. Althoff faces McCluer at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19.

Belleville East 57, McCluer 44

The Lancers posted a 13-point victory over the Comets in tournament action.

Belleville East improved to 18-3 overall while McCluer dropped to 0-15.

Look ahead: Belleville East faces Alton at 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20.

Edwardsville 75, Cahokia 43

The Tigers costed to a 32-point victory over the Comanches at the Jerseyville Mid-Winter Classic.

Malik Allen led Edwardsville with 22 points. Edwardsville improved to 13-7 overall while Cahokia dropped to 4-16.

Look ahead: Cahokia faces Granite City at 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20. Edwardsville takes on Jerseyville at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20.

Granite City 62, Jerseyville 50

The Warriors rolled to a 12-point win against the tournament host at the Jerseyville Mid-Winter Classic.

Granite City improved to 11-9. Jerseyville dropped to 12-8.

Look ahead: Granite City faces Cahokia at 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20. Jerseyville takes on Edwardsville at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20.

Columbia 64, Carlyle 51

The Eagles got past the Indians with a 13-point victory.

Dylan Murphy and Jack Steckler led Columbia with 18 points a piece. Columbia improved to 19-2 overall. Carlyle dropped to 7-13.

Look ahead: Columbia faces Alton Marquette at Okawville at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20.

Triad 61, Mattoon 33

The Knights dominated the Green Wave with a 28-point victory at the Litchfield Rick McGraw Memorial.

McGrady Noyes led Triad with 19 points. Triad improved to 16-5 overall.

Look ahead: Triad faces Greenville at Litchfield at 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20.

O’Fallon 47, Miller Career 42

The Panthers pulled out a five-point victory over the Phoenix.

Isaiah Camper, Rini Harris and Koby Wilmoth led O’Fallon with 10 points each. O’Fallon improved to 16-5 overall.

Look ahead: O’Fallon visits Normal Community West at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21.

Alton Marquette 53, Highland 48

The Explorers beat the Bulldogs by five points.

Highland fell to 14-7 overall, while Alton Marquette improved to 12-9.

Look ahead: Highland faces Carlyle at Litchfield at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19.

GIRLS

O’Fallon 64, Civic Memorial 42

The Panthers downed the Eagles by 22 points at the Highland Invitational.

Shannon Dowell led O’Fallon with 41 points. O’Fallon improved to 20-3 overall. CM dropped to 11-12.

Look ahead: O’Fallon faces Okawville at Highland at 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19.

Nashville 33, Belleville West 25

The Hornettes posted a eight point victory over the Maroons at Highland.

Belleville West fell to 2-17. Nashville improved to 6-8.

Look ahead: Belleville West visits Collinsville at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24.

Westminster 56, Edwardsville 47

The Wildcats eased past the Tiger in a nine point victory.

Edwardsville dropped to 8-11 overall.

Look ahead: Edwardsville visits Whitfield at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19.

Okawville 39, Breese Central 28

The Rockets got a decisive victory over the Cougars at Highland.

Okawville improved to 19-2. Breese Central fell to 14-7 overall.

Look ahead: Breese Central faces Civic Memorial at Highland at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 19. Okawville faces O’Fallon at Highland at 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19.
