Okawville 39, Breese Central 36

The Rockets posted a tight three-point win against the Cougars.

Alayna Kraus led Okawville with 14 points. The Rockets improved to 24-4 while Breese Central fell to 18-10.

Look ahead: Okawville hosts Carlyle at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, while the Cougars entertain Freeburg at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9.

Columbia 71, Triad 65

The Eagles outlasted the Knights while posting a six-point victory.

Karsen Jany posted 26 points for Columbia, which improved to 18-10. Jordan Holten added 17 points and Ava Langhans notched 15 points. Triad dropped to 4-21.

Look ahead: The Knights host Granite City at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8. The Eagles visit Roxana at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9.

Waterloo 55, Freeburg 48

The Bulldogs eased past the Midgets by seven points while improving to 17-10. Freeburg dropped to 20-9.

Norah Gum led the way for Waterloo with 25 points, while Sam Lindhorst chipped in 15 points.

Look ahead: Both teams resume action at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, as the Bulldogs host Jerseyville and the Midgets visit Breese Central.

Mater Dei 40, Civic Memorial 34

The Knights improved to 19-7 following a six-point against the Eagles, who fell to 13-17.

Look ahead: Mater Dei entertains Pinckneyville at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8. The Eagles host Highland at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9.

Dupo 58, Gibault 51 (OT)

The Tigers outscored the Hawks 12-5 in the extra session to prevail.

Dupo is now 12-11 on the season, while Gibault dropped to 13-7.

Steffany Stansch led the Tigers with 20 points, while T’Yonna Burris added 15 points.

Look ahead: The Hawks host Sparta at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8. Dupo visits Valmeyer at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9.

Valmeyer 42, Hancock 32

The Pirates improved to 8-14 following a 10-point win against the Tigers.

Lyle Hess scored 13 points and Addi Dilley added 12 points, leading the Musketeers to a five-point win against the Yellow Jackets.

Mallory Kimbrell had 15 points for New Athens and Kaylee Juenger added 11 points.

Red Bud improved to 13-15, while the Yellow Jackets dropped to 10-13.
