The metro-east girls basketball season continued with several key games Thursday.
Here is a quick view of some of the outcomes.
Edwardsville 50, Belleville West 34
The Tigers dominated the Maroons with a 16-point victory.
Edwardsville ends the regular season 16-12 overall and 8-4 in the Southwestern Conference. Belleville West fell to 4-21, 2-10.

Alton 68, Collinsville 38
The Redbirds coasted past the Kahoks with a 30-point victory.
Laila Blakeny led Alton with a career-high 30 points. Alton heads into the postseason at 28-1 overall while finishing 11-1 in the SWC. Collinsville dropped to 14-17, 4-8.

Columbia 52, Roxana 35
The Eagles cruised the Shells by 17 points.
Karsen Jany led Columbia with 27 points and 9 rebounds. Columbia ended the regular season 19-10 overall and 6-4 in the Mississippi Division of the Cahokia Conference. Roxana finished 6-17, 3-9.
Look ahead in the IHSA Class 2A regional quarterfinals: (6) Columbia hosts (11) Red Bud at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11. (11) Roxana visits (10) Litchfield at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11.
Freeburg 48, Breese Central 46
The Midgets slipped past the Cougars by two points to secure the Cahokia Conference championship (Mississippi Division).
Kylie Kisgen led Freeburg with 19 points. Freeburg concludes the regular season 21-9 overall and 10-0 league action. Breese Central finished 18-11, 8-2.
Look ahead in the IHSA Class 2A regional semifinals: (2) Freeburg and (3) Breese Central play the winner of the quarterfinals Monday, Feb. 13. The quarterfinal round is set for Saturday, Feb. 11.
Highland 47, Civic Memorial 35
The Bulldogs beat the Eagles by 12 points to clinched the Mississippi Valley Conference title.
Grace Wilke led Highland with 22 points. Highlands ends the regular season 22-7 overall and 9-1 in league play while Civic Memorial finished 13-18, 5-5.
Look ahead in the IHSA Class 3A regional semifinals: (1) Highland will play a regional semifinal game at home Monday, Feb. 13. (5) Civic Memorial faces (4) Waterloo at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb 13, at Highland.
Mascoutah 45, Triad 35
The Indians got a decisive 10-point victory over the Knights.
Mascoutah ends the regular season 22-7 overall and 7-2 in the MVC while Triad finishes 5-22, 1-8.
Look ahead to the IHSA Class 3A regional: (2) Mascoutah hosts (9) Cahokia at 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13. (8) Triad visits (7) Jerseyville at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11.
Red Bud 59, Carlyle 20
The Indians rolled past the Musketeers by 39 points.
Carlyle finished the regular season at 25-5 overall and 8-2 in the Illinois Division of the Cahokia Conference. Red Bud wrapped up at 13-17, 1-9.
Look ahead IHSA Class 2A regional quarterfinals: (11) Red Bud visits (6) Columbia at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11. The Indians will open postseason action next week.
Waterloo 79, Jerseyville 55
The Bulldogs dominated the Panthers with a 24-point win.
Norah Gum led Waterloo with 31 points and Sam Lindhorst chipped in 22 points. Waterloo concludes the regular season at 18-10 overall and 6-4 in the Mississippi Valley Conference, while Jerseyville ends at 17-14, 1-9.
