The Hawks improved to 27-7 while winning the regional crown against the Wildcats, whose season ended at 20-11.

The Panthers ended the Eagles’ terrific season with a three-point verdict in the regional title game.
Columbia finished the campaign at 28-4, while Pinckneyville improved to 26-6.
Dylan Murphy led the Eagles with 17 points, while Jack Steckler posted 12 points and Brody Landgraf added 11 points.
Sectional round
The Panthers advance to their own sectional in Pinckneyville and will face Massac County at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28.
Nashville Regional, Class 2A

The Cougars improved to 28-4 while dispatching their cross-town rivals to capture the regional title. The Knights finished the season at 15-17.

Jacksonville Regional, Class 3A

The Flyers rolled to the regional championship while improving to 22-8. Macaleab Rich led the way with 25 points, while Robert McCline added 14 points and D’Necco Rucker posted 13 points.
East St. Louis 22-5 after one quarter and never looked back.
Sectional round
The Flyers advance to the Centralia Sectional and will face the host Orphans at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 1.
Mascoutah Regional, Class 3A

The Orphans roared to the regional championship, defeating their South Seven Conference counterparts by 17.
Centralia improved to 22-6, while Carbondale finished up at 11-6.

The Orphans advance to the Centralia Sectional and will face East St. Louis at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28.
Civic Memorial Regional, Class 3A
