The high school boys basketball teams from Gibault and East St. Louis will compete for an IHSA state championship at State Farm Center in Champaign on the campus of the University of Illinois beginning Thursday morning.
The Belleville News-Democrat will provide live updates of each game at www.bnd.com. Gibault (31-7) won its semifinal game, while East St. Louis (25-8) faces Metamora (32-2) at 11:45 a.m. Friday.
