Belleville East 8, Belleville West 2

The Lancers downed the Maroons in a six-run win.

Belleville East improved to 8-4 overall and 2-0 in the Southwestern Conference while Belleville West fell to 6-4, 0-2.

Joe Mendiola led the Lancers with 2 hits. Dylan Mannino earned the win while posting six strikeouts.

Look ahead: Belleville East hosts Freeburg at 4:30 p.m. Monday, April 10. Belleville West hosts Centralia at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 8.

O’Fallon 2, Edwardsville 0

The Panthers got by the Tigers with a two-run victory.

O’Fallon improved to 8-2 overall and 1-1 in the SWC. Edwardsville fell to 9-3, 1-1.

Grant Tebbe led O’Fallon with two hits. Lucas Krebs paced the Tigers with two hits.

David Barker fired six innings, allowing just three hits, to earn the victory.

The Knights dominated the Cadets in a 10-run win.

The Blue Devils coasted to a three-run victory over the Warriors.

Granite City fell to 2-7.

Civic Memorial 8, Wood River 5

The Eagles rolled by the Oilers with a three-run victory.

Civic Memorial improved to 5-5 while Wood River fell to 2-9.
