The leader of one of the area’s top teams, Augustine ignited the Crusaders offense as he completed 17 of 20 passes for 255 yards and three touchdowns in a 42-6 win over Carbondale. The win clinched the South Seven Conference title for Althoff.

The top Class A player in the metro-east, David won for the fifth time this season as she shot as two-over par 74 to take medalist honors at the Class A Roxana Regional at Belk Park Golf Course in Wood River

Belleville West Cross Country
One week after winning the individual titles at the Belleville city cross country championships, Gichuru and Dintelmann added another title each to theeir resumes by winning the St. Clair County championships at O’Fallon. Gichuru covered the three-mile course in 15 minutes, 27 seconds, while Dintelmann won the girls division in 18:54.

A member of two straight Hornets team which have earned a trophy at the Class A State Tournament, Edwards shot a 73 to earn medalist honors at the Class A Pinckneyville Regional at Red Hawk Golf Club. Nashville went on to win the team title.

Mater Dei won the Class 1A Wesclin Regional and Gerdes was a major reason why as he carded a 4-over par 76 to win the individual title at Governors Run Golf Course in Carlyle

Gunter continues to compile big numbers for the Musketeers, racking up 215 yards and four TDs on 24 carries Friday in a 51-28 victory over Scott City (Mo,). Gunter has 892 yards rushing and 10 TDs this season.

One of the state’s best, Hemings showed why as he fired a brilliant 4-under par 67 on Tuesday to win the Class 3A Edwardsville Regional at Oak Brook Golf Course.

Machado sparkled in a losing effort Friday as the senior hauled in 11 pass receptions for 150 yards and a touchdown in a 35-24 Mississippi Valley Conference defeat against Jerseyville.

Taking advantage of the Panthers home course, Marrs fired a 77 to take medalist honors and lead O’Fallon to a second place finish at the Class AA O’Fallon Regional at Tamarack Country Club.

The University of Illinois recruit had 134 yards and a touchdown on 34 carries Friday to help O’Fallon win its third game in a row, a 22-6 Southwestern Conference victory over Collinsville.

Wesclin’s bruising senior workhorse back piled up 252 yards and four TDs on just 16 carries Friday in a 54-27 Cahokia Conference win over Freeburg. Robinson has 855 yards and 11 touchdowns and is averaging 9.4 yards per carry.
