Online tickets for Highland Shootout go on sale Monday; sellout expected
Tickets for the 25th Anniversary of the Highland Optimist Shootout Classic on Jan. 9, 2016, which includes the highly anticipated showdown between Illinois top-ranked Althoff and nationally ranked Chaminade of St. Louis, go on sale Monday.
In what could be the best lineup in the history of the event, the Shootout will include eight of the top 100 players in the country. They include Chaminade All-American and Duke recruit Jayson Tatum and Columbia, Mo., area superstar Michael Porter Jr., from Father Tolton High.
Althoff was ranked first in the Class 3A state poll and returns all five starters led by junior Division I recruit Jordan Goodwin, Southern Illinois University Carbondale recruit Brendon Gooch and Illinois-Chicago recruit Tarkus Ferguson.

At least 24 Division 1 basketball players will be playing and nine of the 10 boys teams playing are ranked in the top 10 in the state in their respective classes.
An all day pass or Session 2 ticket (which includes the Althoff-Chaminade game) is $10 per person and go on sale Dec. 7 online only at https://www.showclix.com/event/highland-optimist-shootout/listing. Another link to the ticket site can be found at http://www.highlandshootout.com/.
The gym seats 3,000 and a full sellout is expected.
Session 1 tickets are $6 each and cover the first three games only. They will be available only at the door on the day of the event and fans holding those tickets must exit the gym after the third game.
The all-day pass and Session 2 ticket purchases will be sold on-line only by ShowClix for $10 each. Those ticket holders will be given a wristband upon entry and will not have to exit the gym after the third game.
