High school events postponed by winter storm warning

With a winter storm warning issued for much of the metro-east area late Thursday, high school events have been postponed or moved up at several local sites.

▪  The Highland at Civic Memorial girls basketball game in the Mississippi Valley Conference has been postponed. No makeup date has been set.

▪  The Granite City at Belleville East girls basketball game has been postponed. No makeup date has been announced.

▪  The Collinsville at Belleville West girls basketball game has been postponed. No makeup date has been announced.

▪  The Jerseyville at Waterloo Mississippi Valley Conference girls basketball game has been postponed. The game will be made up on Thursday, Jan. 18 in the junior high school south gym.

▪  The Freeburg at Salem girls Cahokia Conference basketball game has been postponed. No makeup date has been announced.

▪  The Father McGivney at Waterloo Gibault boys basketball game has been postponed. No makeup date has been announced.

▪  The Gibault at Sparta girls basketball game was postponed. No make up date has been announced.

▪  The Cahokia at Centralia girls basketball game was postponed. The game will be played Feb. 7.

▪  The Marissa at Lebanon girls basketball game was postponed. No make up date has been announced.
