The Mascoutah Indians beat the Mater Dei Knights 5-4 in a baseball game Thursday.
Mater Dei came out swinging, scoring three in the first inning, but Mascoutah answered back with two of its own. The Knights scored their final run of the ballgame in the fifth, but the Indians scored two more in the fifth to tie and one in the sixth for the win.
Anthony Moll pitched four innings while striking out two Knights. Kyle Ohl brought one home in his only at-bat. Jaelyn Curry, Jacob Davis, and Jacob Schanz each had an RBI.
Mascoutah (22-6) continues its three-game winning streak as the Indians head back into conference play against Highland at noon May 13. Mater Dei (11-13) will host Mount Vernon on May 12 at 4:30 p.m.
