Greyhounds defeat Hawks softball regional quarterfinal

The Lebanon Greyhounds defeated the Gibault Hawks 1-0 in the first round of the Lebanon Class 1A softball region.

The lone run came off an RBI hit by Abigail Reinneck who went 2-for-3. Reinneck also pitched the entire game allowing no runs, gave up just two hits, and struck out two.

Krista Bass hit a triple for the Greyhounds.

Lebanon (6-20) plays again at 4:30 p.m. May 16 in the regional semifinals against New Athens. Gibault finished its season 6-19.
