Edwardsville’s baseball team is one win from the state tournament.

The Tigers defeated Minooka (23-13-1) 3-2 on Saturday, June 3, to capture the IHSA Class 4A Bloomington Sectional championship.

Edwardsville, which defeated O’Fallon 9-5 in the sectional semifinals, improved to 30-9 and will face Oswego East (23-11) at 6 p.m. Monday, June 5, at the Bloomington Super-Sectional.
