Metro-East Bears fall, will fight elimination today at 4 p.m.

Three runs in the first inning doomed the Metro East Bears in their second round matchup against Madison, Wis., which eventually won 4-0 at the Great Lakes American Legion Baseball Regional at Gordon Moore Park.

Ben Cusac took the loss for the Bears, going 6 1/3 innings, while giving up four earned runs on11 hits.

The Bears play Plover, Wis. at 4 p.m. today at Gordon Moore Park. The loser of the game will be eliminated from the regional.
