Wesclin tops DuQuoin; Gibault slips past Madison

Ottensmeier has big game for Wesclin
In a close pairing, Wesclin beat DuQuoin 68-66 at the Okawville Tournament on Thursday.
Hunter Ottensmeier scored 21 points, and Nate Brede added 17 to give the Warriors the boost they needed to come away with the victory.
The Indians stuck close the entire game and got great efforts from Pursell and Heape, who scored 20 and 15 points, respectively.
Both teams will again be in action at the tournament Friday. Wesclin (15-2) will face Madison, and DuQuoin will play Okawville.

Gibault narrowly defeated Madison 70-68 at the Okawville Tournament on Thursday.
Gibault will continue in action at the Okawville Tournament against DuQuoin on Saturday. Madison will play Wesclin at the Okawville Tournament on Friday.

Red Bud narrowly beats Marissa
Red Bud topped Marissa 43-40 on Thursday.
It was a close game early on, as Marissa had only a four-point lead at the half. Red Bud bounced back quickly, scoring 15 points to the Meteors’ 4 points in the third quarter.
Makenzie Harbaugh led the charge for the Musketeers with 17 points on the night. Teammate Sophie Richards pitched in with 12 points.
Red Bud (18-7) will play Steeleville on Wednesday. Marissa (8-11) will play Trico on Saturday.

Lebanon dominates Dupo
Lebanon beat Dupo 62-14 on Thursday.
The Greyhounds got off to a quick 22-4 start in the first quarter and did not ease up the rest of the night.
Krista Bass scored an impressive 18 points to push Lebanon past conference rival Dupo.
Lebanon (21-0) will play West Central at the Carrollton Tournament on Saturday. Dupo (2-16) will play Sparta on Monday.
