Centralia boys win at the buzzer; Lebanon girls suffer first loss

Centralia beats the buzzer
Centralia won 61-59 over Paducah Tilghman on Saturday at the Pinckneyville Showcase.
The victory came in the final stretch, with a layup just as the buzzer sounded.
Centralia will play Mattoon on Tuesday.
Marion tops Mater Dei
Marion beat Mater Dei 47-36 on Saturday at the Pinckneyville Showcase.
Mater Dei led 18-12 at halftime, but a strong second half pushed Marion to the win.
Jackson Connor led the way for the Wildcats, scoring a team-high 13 points.
Marion (15-6) will play Cahokia on Friday. Mater Dei (10-12) will play Central on Saturday.

Lebanon falls in championship game
Quincy Notre Dame defeated Lebanon 52-45 to win the Carrollton Tournament.
It is the first loss of the season for the Greyhounds, who wasted a 26-point effort from senior Krista Bass.
Lebanon (24-1) will play Valmeyer on Tuesday.
Okawville picks up another win
Okawville beat Gibault 52-37 on Saturday.
Okawville (17-7) will play Carlyle on Monday. Gibault (12-8) will play Alton Marquette, also on Monday.
Highland edges past Collinsville
Highland beat Collinsville 59-56 on Saturday.
Highland (16-9) will play McCluer North on Tuesday. Collinsville (8-12) will be back in conference action against Belleville West, also on Tuesday.
Winkeler leads Mater Dei to win
Kierra Winkeler scored 17 points in Mater Dei’s 40-29 victory over Nashville on Saturday.
Nashville (16-8) will play Pinckneyville on Tuesday. Mater Dei (18-7) will play Teutopolis on Monday.
