Girls basketball
Edwardsville destroys Granite City
Edwardsville continued its perfect season with a 75-14 win against Granite City.
The Warriors attempted to stay on pace with the Tigers, ending the first quarter down 15-9. However, a scoreless second quarter by Granite City allowed Edwardsville to pull ahead substantially.
Kate Martin scored 16 points, Quierra Love scored 12 points and Myriah Noodel-Haywood had 10 points for Edwardsville.
The Tigers have three regular season games left before they attempt to better last year’s Class 4A state runner-up performance.
