Alton Marquette traveled to Missouri on Friday and barely escaped with its perfect record intact in a 50-48 victory over McCluer North.
Isaiah Ervin had a season-high 31 points to lead the Explorers to the win.

Cahokia beat Marion 42-39 in conference play Friday
Cahokia (11-10) will play in another conference game against Mount Vernon on Saturday. Marion (15-8) will travel to Benton to take on Mount Carmel.
Krumseig leads Lebanon to win
David Krumsieg scored 21 points in Lebanon’s 53-40 win over New Athens on Friday.
Lebanon stayed ahead for most of the game, leading by seven points at halftime and by 11 points heading into the fourth quarter.

Civic Memorial edges Jerseyville in OT
Civic Memorial beat Jerseyville 60-58 in overtime Friday.
The Panthers had an eight-point lead at halftime, but the Eagles bounced back to tie the game at 56 at the end of regulation.
For Jerseyville, the loss comes the day after the Lady Panthers won in double overtime against Highland.
Civic Memorial (15-8) will play Mascoutah on Tuesday. Jerseyville (11-11) will travel to Carrollton on Tuesday.
Peterson and Holmes lead Columbia to victory
Columbia got its third win in a row Friday night in an 85-65 win over Mascoutah.
Columbia had two big performances from Jordan Homes, who scored 25 points, and Jon Peterson, who scored 22 points.

The Meteors only led by six points at halftime but had a strong fourth quarter to propel them to the win.
