Greyhounds nip Marissa in first-round game of Class 1A Okawville Regional Tournament
Lebanon senior David Krumsieg scored 12 points and teammate Ayinde Bennett added 11 as the Greyhounds nipped Marissa 39-37 Monday in a first-round game of the Class 1A Okawville Regional Tournament.
The Greyhounds (12-18), advancing to play top-seed Okawville, led 32-19 after three quarters then survived a late comeback by the Meteors (10-18).
Musketeers victorious over Dupo at Class 2A Pinckneyville Regional
Alex Birchler led a balanced Red Bud attack with 15 points as the Musketeers romped past Dupo 56-34 in a first-round game at Pinckneyville High School.
Red Bud (16-11) will take on Gibault in a semifinal Wednesday at 7 p.m.
Kolbie Allen led Dupo (6-19) with 13 points

Undefeated Edwardsville advances to sectional title game
Senior all-state forward Kate Martin scored 15 points while Quierra Love added 13 as the undefeated Edwardsville Tigers held off Chatham-Glenwood 51-40 at the Class 4A Champaign Centennial Sectional Tournament.
Senior Myriah Noodel-Haywood added 10 points for the Tigers (28-0) who built a 29-18 halftime lead.
Edwardsville will take on Rock Island in the sectional title game Thursday at 7 p.m.
