Althoff state tournament tickets on sale

Tickets for the Althoff Crusaders games at the IHSA Class 3A State Boys Basketball Tournament in Peoria on Friday and Saturday are on sale today in the Althoff High School athletic office.

Tickets may be purchased until 6 p.m. and are priced at $11 each. Althoff defeated Springfield Southeast 83-69 in super-sectional play Tuesday night, with the game interrupted by a tornado scare in the third quarter.

Althoff (30-2) will take on Westchester St. Joseph’s in the second of two semifinals at Carver Arena beginning at 2 p.m. St. Joseph’s defeated Althoff in the state title game a year ago.

An Althoff win would move it into the state title game at 2 p.m. on Saturday. If Althoff loses, it will play for third place at 12:15 p.m.
