Bieber leads Columbia over Freeburg

Columbia quarterback Nic Horner passed for 157 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Eagles to a 47-21 win over Freeburg Friday.

Horner found Donavan Bieber on a 16-yard scoring strike then connected with Jared Germain on a 43-yard touchdown pass that put Columbia on top 14-0. The Eagles never looked back after going ahead 26-0 after the first quarter.

Bieber finished the night with 132 rushing yards and three touchdowns on the ground for the Eagles. The 16-yard connection from Horner gave him four touchdowns on the evening.

Hayden Shea scored twice for Freeburg on runs of one and five yards. Jake Koerber scored the other Midget touchdown with a 37-yard run.

Freeburg (1-5) next faces Wesclin Friday at 7 p.m. Columbia will be in Breese to face Central.
