Mater Dei stumbles against Quincy Notre Dame

Quincy Notre Dame quarterback Nick Wellman passed for three touchdowns to lead the Raiders to a 49-14 win over Mater Dei Friday.

All three of Wellman’s touchdown passes came in the second quarter on passes of 14, 42, and eight yards as the Raiders rallied to a 35-7 halftime lead.

Mater Dei quarterback Travis Jasper passed for 102 yards and a touchdown for the Knights.

Logan Ratermann scored the other Knights touchdown with a 1-yard run.

Mater Dei (2-4) next faces Lutheran North Friday at 7 p.m. Quincy Notre Dame (3-3) will be in Macomb to face the Bombers.
