Highland wraps up undefeated regular season with rout of Charleston

The Highland Bulldogs jumped out to a 35-0 lead after one quarter as they put the finishing touch on a perfect regular season with a 63-6 nonconference win over Charleston.

Ranked third in the Class 5A state poll, Highland (9-0) was led by senior quarterback Garrett Marti, who completed 8 of 11 passes for 220 yards and four touchdowns. Marti hooked up with senior Sam LaPorta on scoring strikes of 20 and 35 yards, and also connected with Brady Feldmann on a 60-yard scoring pass and Jacob Etter on a 14-yard TD.

Feldmann added a 9-yard touchdown run and scored on an 86-yard kickoff return.
