State champion East St. Louis Flyers to be honored with victory parade

The Class 6A state football champion East St.Louis Flyers will be honored with a parade down State Street in East St. Louis on Wednesday beginning at 2:15 p.m.

The parade will begin at East St. Louis High School and continue to the Board of Education building. The parade is open to the public.

Led by three touchdown passes by junior all-state quarterback Tyler Macon, East St. Louis put the final touch on the ninth state football championship in school history with a 43-21 win over Crystal Lake Prairie Ridge Saturday at Huskie Stadium in Dekalb.
