The second round match-ups in the IHSA high school football postseason are set. All games will take place Saturday.

Below are the contests involving metro-east teams, including the kickoff time.

Class 2A

  • 1 p.m.: No. 6 seed Red Bud (8-2) at No. 14 seed Althoff (6-4). The Musketeers defeated Nashville 34-21 in the first round while the Crusaders got past Shelbyville 38-34.

Class 3A

  • 2 p.m.: No. 1 seed Fairbury Prairie Central (10-0) at No. 9 seed Roxana (7-3). Fairbury defeated Paxton Buckley-Loda 57-12 in the first round while the Shells dispatched Hillsboro 13-7.

Class 4A

  • 2 p.m.: No. 2 seed Springfield Sacred Heart-Griffin (10-0) at No. 10 seed Waterloo (7-3). The Bulldogs rolled past Olney Richland County 76-28 in the first round while Sacred Heart-Griffin downed Spring Valley Hall 55-6.
  • 4:30 p.m.: No. 5 seed Breese Central (8-2) at No. 4 seed Rochester (9-1). The Cougars defeated Mount Zion 21-18 in the first round while Rochester handled Effinghamn 45-14.

Class 5A

  • 2 p.m.: No. 7 seed Mascoutah at No. 2 seed Highland. The Indians edged Marion 21-20 in a first round game while the Bulldogs rolled to a 50-0 win against Dunlap. Of note, Mascoutah and Highland met Oct. 14, with the Bulldogs winning 56-0.

Class 6A

  • 1 p.m.: No. 6 seed East St. Louis (8-2) at No. 3 seed Normal Community West (9-1). The Flyers rolled to a 71-0 victory against Oak Lawn Richards in the first round while Normal Community West defeated Danville 21-0.

Class 7A

  • 6 p.m.: No. 8 seed Collinsville (9-1) at No. 24 seed Chicago Brother Rice (6-4). The Kahoks got past Bradley-Bourbonnais 14-12 in the first round while Chicago Brother Rice defeated Algonquin Jacobs 27-0.

Class 8A

  • 1 p.m.: No. 6 seed Wilmette Loyola Academy (9-1) at No. 22 seed Edwardsville (7-3). The Tigers defeated fellow Southwestern Conference rival O’Fallon 43-36 in the first round while Loyola Academy handled Plainfield South 42-7.
