Week 7: Vote for the Southwestern Illinois Football Player of the Week
Week 7 of the high school football season in the metro-east is in the books.
Now’s your chance to vote for the Belleville News-Democrat’s High School Football Player of the Week. The poll closes at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 13.

Here are this week’s nominees:
Jake Curry, Edwardsville High School, Senior, QB
Curry completed 15/24 passes for 253 yards and 3 touchdowns through the air in a 49-45 victory against Belleville East. Also, Curry rushed 17 times for 64 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Koby Osterhage, Waterloo High School, Senior, RB
Osterhage had 167 yards rushing on 8 carries, 3 touchdowns and caught 6 receptions for 81 yards in a 46-6 victory over Civic Memorial.
Dierre Hill Jr., Althoff Catholic High School, Junior, RB/DB
Hill had 25 carries for 218 yards on the ground and 3 touchdowns in Althoff’s 41-22 victory over Mater Dei.
Braylon Grayson, O’Fallon High School, Senior, QB
Grayson completed 11 for 18 passes for 188 yards and 4 passing touchdowns in a 56-7 victory over Belleville West.
