According to a tweet from Jon Morosi of the MLB network, the Cardinals and Diamondbacks have discussed a trade for slugger Paul Goldschmidt.

Morosi says a source confirmed a report by St. Louis Post-Dispatch writer Derrick Goold.

There have been several rumors this offseason connecting St. Louis to Goldschmidt, and it’s created some interesting proposals from baseball writers.
