Lackey (3-3), who yielded a paltry five hits, won for the first time since May 7 against the Chicago Cubs. He threw 96 pitches, 66 for strikes, and lowered his ERA at Busch Stadium to 1.30. ... The first seven hitters in the St. Louis order had at least one hit, with Peralta collecting two doubles. ... The Cardinals improved to a major league-best 32-16, including 19-5 at home. ...
