Lynn activated from disabled list; Lyons returned to Class AAA Memphis

The St. Louis Cardinals on Thursday activated right-handed pitcher Lance Lynn from the 15-day disabled list and optioned left-hander Tyler Lyons to Class AAA Memphis.

Lynn, who was sidelined by a right forearm strain, is scheduled to start Wednesday night in Miami, where the Cardinals have taken the first two in the three-game series.

Lynn is 4-4 with a 3.07 ERA in 12 games, all starts. His last outing came June 7 in Los Angeles against the Dodgers.

Lyons, 27, made two starts while Lynn was on the disabled list and provided wins on both June 13 vs. Kansas City and June 19 at Philadelphia.
