Michael Wacha (12-4) threw seven shutout innings and Matt Carpenter hit his third home run in the last two games as St. Louis drubbed Colorado. Jhonny Peralta also homered for the Cardinals, who have riddled the Rockies’ pitching staff for 16 runs on 28 hits in the first two games of the four-game series at Busch Stadium.
