Jason Heyward snapped a 5-5 tie in the seventh with a two-run double, part of a five-run outburst, as St. Louis rallied past Washington on Monday. It was the seventh win in eight games for the Cardinals, who rapped out 13 hits, 12 of them singles. Kevin Siegrist (6-1) picked up the victory despite allowing a go-ahead three-run homer to Ryan Zimmerman.

John Lackey did not receive a decision for St. Louis. He worked six innings, yielding two runs (one earned) on four hits, with four walks and eight strikeouts. ...
