Dez Bryant, eyeing comeback, plans workout with Patrick Mahomes, Mecole Hardman

Former Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant hasn’t played a snap in the NFL since the 2017 season, but he’s hoping for a return this fall.

Bryant, who was selected to three Pro Bowls and one All-Pro Team in eight seasons from 2010-17, is just 31 years old. He was released by the Cowboys in April 2018 and was out of the NFL until signing with the Saints in November of that year.

Two days later, Bryant suffered a torn Achilles and was done for the season.

Bryant has been posting videos of his workouts on Twitter and told CowboysSI.com that he hopes to return to the Cowboys. A couple of Chiefs players will be joining Bryant at some point: quarterback Patrick Mahomes and wide receiver Mecole Hardman.

Although Bryant is 7 years older than Mahomes, they both grew up in east Texas. Their high schools are about 90 minutes apart.

“We’re going to get together later in the spring,” Bryant told CowboysSI about Mahomes.

Hardman and Mahomes both have been tweeting with Bryant.
