New Era releases special Chiefs caps ahead of the 2020 NFL Draft

The NFL Draft is still scheduled to take place later this month, but it will be a virtual event because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

That means draftees won’t be shaking hands with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. Those players also won’t be handed a team-specific cap for the photo opportunity with the commish.

Nevertheless, New Era had prepared special caps before the decision was made to close the draft to the public in Las Vegas because of the coronavirus spread.

On Tuesday, New Era shared a look at the caps. The company tweeted: “The 2020 NFL Official Draft Collection just dropped! Inspired by Las Vegas’ iconic neon signs, with embroidered team slogans on the side to represent each team as they welcome the draftees.”

Here is a look at the Chiefs hat:

Fans can order the caps here. If you used the money available under the Chiefs’ salary cap, you could get four of the hats.
