Body found in water near Pontoon Beach warehouses

A man’s body was found about noon Saturday in a body of water near Inner Park Drive, near wearhouses in the Gateway Commerce Center, Pontoon Beach police said.

The name of the man was not released, and the Madison County Coroner’s Office is investigating, said Sgt. Rich Schardan.

It is not known whether the man died of natural causes or if foul play is involved, said Schardan, who couldn’t comment further.

An autopsy is scheduled for Sunday.
