Empty boat leads to Mascoutah man’s body in Tennessee lake, agency says

A 63-year-old Mascoutah man was found dead in a Tennessee lake Sunday, according to the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency.

Officers with the wildlife agency responded to Reelfoot Lake Sunday after it received reports of an unoccupied boat, the agency said. Officers found the boat, belonging to David Blue, without occupants near Grassy Island boat ramp, the agency said.

The agency said Blue was fishing on the lake and not wearing a life jacket.

Reelfoot Lake is located in far western Tennessee near the state’s borders with Kentucky and Missouri.
