The other vehicle involved was a black Cadillac sedan. It’s not clear what direction the vehicles were traveling when they collided, but the Cadillac sustained heavy front end damage while the Ford sustained heavy damage to its front end and passenger side. Firefighters used extricating equipment to tear the roof of the Ford away to give paramedics access to the driver.

The driver of the Ford was transported by ambulance from the scene. Emergency radio transmissions indicated crews considered dispatching an ARCH medical helicopter but foul weather kept all helicopters in the area grounded. The man’s condition is unknown.

No other injuries were reported. Sheriff’s deputies are handling the crash investigation and were not immediately available for comment.
