Belleville fire department looking into Christmas Day car fire

A Christmas Day blaze destroyed a Dodge Grand Caravan minivan that caught fire at the intersection of Caseyville Avenue and West Lincoln Street.

Rodney Lofton, an engineer with the Belleville Fire Department, said no one was injured in the fire that was reported at 12:50 p.m.

The incident is not believed to be of suspicious origin although a fire department investigation is ongoing.
