Man charged after Cahokia police said he stabbed a man in the groin
A Cahokia man was charged Friday with stabbing a man in the groin at a convenience store.
Toni L. Chamberlain, 43, was charged by St. Clair County State’s Attorney Brendan Kelly on Friday with three counts of aggravated battery.
The charges alleged that Chamberlain stabbed Jeremy T. Bradley, 20, with a knife at the Best Stop convenience store at 2003 Camp Jackson Road in Cahokia on March 8.
Chamberlain’s bail was set at $75,000. He is not currently in police custody.
Cahokia police investigated the case. Detectives there were not immediately available.
Bradley was charged in December with aggravated domestic battery after police said he struck Jasmine Bradley, who was pregnant, in the stomach with a trash can. He pleaded guilty to two counts of domestic battery and is on probation.
Bradley’s condition was not immediately available after the stabbing.
