Belleville woman charged with battery, threatening DCFS case worker
A Belleville woman, who was previously convicted of attempted arson, has been charged with threatening a Department of Children and Family Services case worker and aggravated battery to a police officer.
According to charging documents issued by the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office, Kachina Y. Brown, 35, threatened to shoot a DCFS case worker, and threatened to “shoot up the Belleville DCFS office.”
She has been charged with a total of five felonies.
Brown was also charged with aggravated battery for kicking a police officer, documents say. Brown, who was previously convicted of attempted arson, was charged with unlawful possession of firearm ammunition by a felon.
Charging documents also say Brown damaged a Belleville police department Flip Ultra HD Video Recorder, which led to a criminal damage to government property charge.
Brown, whose total bail was set at $150,000, is being held at the St. Clair County Jail.
