Woman accused of stabbing man in Caseyville dispute
A fight over infidelity in a relationship ended Saturday morning with a man hospitalized with stab wounds and a Caseyville woman in police custody.
According to Caseyville police, officers responded to the 2800 block of Progress Avenue at 7:15 a.m. Saturday for a report of a physical disturbance in progress. Upon arrival, police found a male victim stabbed in the back.
A woman, Keache S. Davis of Caseyville, was arrested at the scene without incident. Police also recovered a knife.
The man who was stabbed was transported to a local hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
Davis, 41, faces a felony charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and remains in the St. Clair County Jail. Her bond was set at $40,000.
