Authorities find woman reported missing in Fairview Heights park

Authorities have located a Belleville woman who was reported missing in a Fairview Heights park.

The 21-year-old woman was found about 11:45 p.m. Tuesday at Pleasant Ridge Park.

According to the Fairview Heights Police Department, the department received a notification from a crisis intervention worker about 4:30 p.m. reporting they had received a text advising the woman was suicidal. The Facebook post said officers were quickly able to research the phone number provided and noted the phone was located in Pleasant Ridge Park. Upon arrival, officers began to check the area and located the woman’s vehicle.

Search workers from surrounding agencies responded to assist with the search of the park.
