Don’t miss this: Fairview Heights man dies following motorcycle crash

▪ A man who crashed his BMW motorcycle into a car a week ago in Fairview Heights has died due to the injuries he suffered.

Jorge J. Marles, of Fairview Heights, collided with a Chevrolet Impala driven by a 19-year-old woman at Sullivan Drive and Frank Scott Parkway.

The driver of the car, Darriel Clayton, failed to yield while turning left, driving into the path of the motorcyclist.

▪ An indoor trampoline park is set to open in the metro-east by September.

Sky Zone, which has two similar facilities in the St. Louis area, plans to open its newest location in the former home of Hobby Lobby in the Crossroads Center on Lincoln Trail.

▪ Belleville West graduate Sam Geiger left high school on a high note, winning a national championship in speech as his final act.

Geiger is the third Belleville West student to win an individual national speech title since 2009.

He’ll attend the University of Chicago in the fall.
