Another pizza parlor robbery in Belleville; police look into connection
Belleville police are trying to determine whether an armed robbery at a West Main restaurant on Sunday is connected to another pizza robbery last week.
Three men walked into the Domino’s at 4000 West Main Street in Belleville at 9 a.m. on Sunday, said Det. Sgt. Mark Heffernan. The three men were wearing black hoodies with white masks covering their faces, Heffernan said.
“One suspect announced a robbery and displayed a handgun,” Heffernan said.
The three men took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the area. Police are processing surveillance video, Heffernan said.
Detectives are also trying to determine whether this armed robbery is connected to another armed robbery at Belleville Imo’s Pizza at 201 S. Belt West in Belleville on July 7. In the Imo’s robbery, two men dressed in hoodies walked into the restaurant about 10:15 p.m. and demanded money after displaying a handgun.
The restaurants are about three miles apart.
Anyone with information about either of the armed robbery is asked to call the Belleville Police Department at 618-234-1212.
